Madrid Highlights Diversity and Coexistence
A recent gathering in Madrid welcomed faith communities, cultural voices and social actors to mark the World Day for Cultural Diversity. The event, organised by Fundación Mejora at the national headquarters of Scientology in Madrid, focused on education, prevention and dialogue as tools against prejudice. The round table included Clarisa Nieva of the Bahá’í Community of Spain, a specialist from the Madrid Municipal Police Diversity Management Unit, flamenco artist Tito Losada, a Roma guitarist and composer, and human rights educator Denise González. Speakers presented personal, cultural and institutional perspectives on how mutual knowledge can help build more inclusive communities.
Throughout the gathering, participants considered themes such as human rights, cultural identity and respect for differences.
